Mischa Barton is one of those semi-celebrities whose name I keep hearing even though I have no clue who the hell she is.

So I looked her up. And based on her credits on IMDB, I haven’t really seen her in anything. It looks like she had a small role in Notting Hill, which I saw, and another small role (probably, I don’t remember the character at all) in the Sixth Sense, and that’s it. A bunch of stuff since then that I’ve never seen. I guess that means I’m excused from having to know who she is, right?

Well, in keeping with the fun celebrity news of the day, she was just arrested this morning for DUI and possession of narcotics. Oh, and driving on a suspended license. The police have her name as Mischa Burton, which is understandable, because, after all, she’s not really well-known enough for people to get that name right yet.

Maybe some DUI charges will boost her popularity with the crowd that worships people like Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears. Good luck there, Mischa!
