Oops, this should probably go in the “quasi-celebrities you’ve never heard of” category, right? Oh well, too late, it’s sitting here on its own.

Laure Manaudou is a French Olympic champion swimmer who had naked pictures of herself leaked onto the Internet just hours after she broke up with her now ex-boyfriend. I looked at the pictures myself, and let me just say that she’s not my type. A little too disturbingly muscular.

But now it turns out that even though you never heard about this story, I guess it’s big news in France. Photographers and journalists are hounding her, it’s messing up her swimming practice, and causing her all sorts of trouble. And now she’s barely eating or sleeping because of the stress:

Whoever posted nude photos of French swimmer Laure Manaudou on the internet will be jailed for a long time, just as any peeping Tom and sex criminal should be. The 21-year-old has barely eaten or slept since the posting, which she blames on former flame Luca Marin, the Italian swimmer, who has denied responsibility.

Meanwhile her ex says that since she threw away the ring he gave her, she’s a bad person.

Ah, those crazy French.
